So today with my back out and unable to drive. She drove me to the shelter to pick up Tandy who was just days from euthanasia.
Tandy is estimated to be approximately 14 or 15 years old and blind.
Life has dealt her many challenges and most recent, abandoned at a cat colony of feral cats. We are thankful the person who does TNR and feeding in the area recognized Tandy did not belong there.
With no other safe place for Tandy to go, she was taken to the shelter. Where they gave her great medical care and made sure she started eating but with all her medical challenges she was given a few days and put on the euthanasia list.
We have named her Marjorie and her medical management is going to be not only costly but intensive and kind of a mystery challenge right now. Besides being visually impaired, which we don't know the cause yet, she has chronic kidney disease and diarrhea.
We will have to do some further testing with our specialists to make sure she is getting proper treatments.
Marjorie is a lovebug and happy to be out of the shelter. We are happy to provide her with a loving environment.
