HOW · Ask family, friends, co-workers, neighbors or classmates to sponsor your walk by making a donation to EBARR. As an individual walker, you'll help raise money for EBARR's furry friends by asking your friends, family, co-workers or anyone else you know to sponsor you. The sky's the limit! And remember, the more money you raise to help homeless cats and dogs, the larger impact you make in the community. Start fund raising today by using EBARR's Donation/Pledge form.
COST · To participate in the dog walk we ask for a $5 donation. The Silent Auction is a bidding event and the Doggy Fashion Show is a $5 entry fee (prizes will be awarded in several categories). All donations are tax deductible.
Miscellaneous · Upon check in each walker will be provided a map, some brief do's and don'ts and a schedule of events.
Schedule of Events:
- 11:00 - 12:00 p.m. - Registration
- 12:30 p.m. - Walk begins
- 1:00 p.m. - Vendor Booths, Dog wash, Raffle tickets and Silent Auction opens
- 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. - Special Performances!
- 2:30 p.m. - Doggy Fashion Show
- 3:30 p.m. - Walk ends, Raffle prize winners announced and Silent Auction closes.
Rain or Shine!
The fashion show will start promptly at 2:30 p.m. near the information booth adjacent to the starting/finishing line. There will be 5 prizes given for 1st place through 5th place. Official judges will determine the top 5 entries and the audience will determine 1st through 5th place based on applause. The fashion show will end at 3pm and winners will be announced just before 3:30pm (close of the walk).
If you would like to enter the fashion show, just simply inform one of the volunteers at the information booth, pay your $5.00 and we will provide an entry ticket for you to be turned in at 2:30pm, when the show begins. We will collect some brief information prior to beginning of the fashion show.
Fashion Show form
The silent auction open at 1:00pm and closes at 3:30pm. The winning bidder needs to be present at the time the auction ends. Upon closure of the auction winning bidders will be announced and the bidding amount will need to be paid at the information booth and then item will be available for pick up.
There will be many numerous raffle prizes awarded to the winning tickets that will be drawn at the close of the dog walk. We will begin calling raffle prize tickets at 3:30pm, until all prizes are awarded. Need not be present to win. Name and phone number will be required.
We will be offering baths for dogs for a donation of $10. The dog wash will open at 1:00pm (weather permitting).
You can make a huge difference within the community and to EBARR by collecting donations to support our lifesaving efforts helping homeless dogs and cats. Simply contact family, friends, co-workers, etc. and get them to sponsor you and your dog in the EBARR Walk-A-Thon. Collect $$ at the time of their commitment and turn in all donations and your donation form at the time you check in for the walk. Pledge/Donation forms are available HERE.
