Special need animals are those animals that require special attention or care. It could be an animal with a health or behavior problem, a genetic defect, a short time to live and the need to live out his/her remaining days in a safe and loving environment. An animal that requires extensive medical procedures that require special fund raising efforts before they can be scheduled.

Max

Max · this handsome 1 year old pure bred Boxer faced his death as he had not eaten or drank in 5 days and was withering away due to an obstruction in his intestine. Even through all the discomfort and pain Max still managed to shake his tail and give kisses. We could not stand by and watch this happen to such a loving and sweet boy so we stepped in and decided to take Max for Rescue. Thanks to the amazing staff and the surgeon Dr. Chuck Walls at Sage - Centers for Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Care Max went into surgery tonight and a large mango seed was extracted from his intestine so now he is on his way to recovery!

Now we need the help from all of you to share Max's story. Any and all donations no matter how small are all greatly appreciated to help pay for Max bill. You may make donations to Sage directly at (925) 627-7243 for Max, use the link below or on our donation page (please send us an email stating your donation is for Max) or you may drop by any adoption event on the weekends.

Thank you everyone who follows us and helps out! We appreciate you so much!
